Genuinely good YouTube videos for kids

Every video individually checked. 1 in 14 makes it in.How we check →

Checked for what it does to your child's energy, not what keeps them hooked. Search it, or start from a name they love.

How a video earns its place

No algorithm guessing what'll keep them glued. A checklist, a high bar, and a review desk that says no a lot.

1 · Channels worth trusting

We start from 300+ channels chosen by hand, the Blueys and BBCs, and brilliant small creators most parents never find.

2 · Every video checked, one by one

40+ checks per video, for the things you'd check yourself: pacing, volume spikes, scary bits, ads in disguise, how it leaves a kid feeling.

3 · The review desk says no a lot

Nothing is published without a final pass, and nearly right isn't in. 1 in 14 makes it.

The Zones, for people who won't read the book

The Zones of Regulation describe the energy state a child is in: Blue is flat and tired, Red is post-meltdown, Yellow is wound up, and Green is settled and engaged. Piko scores every video by the state it leaves a child in, and the job is always the same: get them back to Green. (Borrowed from the Zones of Regulation, minus the homework.)

Blue · flat & tired

Poorly, drained, low. Needs a gentle lift, not a firework display.

2,536 videos gently lift
Red · post-meltdown

After the storm. Predictable, quiet, zero demands.

398 videos for recovery
The destinationGreen · settled & engaged

The good place. Every video is scored by whether it protects it, or brings a kid back to it.

1,656 videos hold them here
Yellow · wound up

Silly o'clock. Spinning, shouting, ricocheting off the sofa.

2,493 videos wind down
