The Best Kindness and Giveaway Videos

MrBeast built his channel on spectacle, but a smaller set of videos genuinely changes someone's life on camera, and that's the actual content rather than a hook. We reviewed 978 videos to find the twelve where it holds up.

Twelve videos where the giveaway is the whole story

MrBeast built his channel on the biggest possible gesture: countdowns, reveals, money handed over in front of a camera. Buried inside that machine is a steadier format, where someone's actual circumstances change for good and watching that change is the entire point of the video. We've reviewed 978 of the channel's 994 videos for how they move, how much they ask of the senses, and who they fit, and 314 made our shelf, the set we're willing to hand to a child at all. Of those 314, twelve are what we'd call proper generosity videos: restored hearing, restored sight, a debt cleared, a family housed. The reveal still happens the way it always does on this channel. It just isn't dressed up as a prize draw.

The four kinds of change these videos show

Between them, the twelve split into four rough groups. Three are medical: 1,000 people hearing for the first time, 1,000 people seeing for the first time, and 2,000 people helped to walk again, the longest pick in the set at over fifteen minutes. Three more are about somewhere to live: a school built in Mexico, a hundred houses given away, and a full home makeover for a family, pitched at a slightly younger age than most of the rest. Two look at clean water, one running over ten minutes and following an engineering project through to the end, the other making roughly the same case in just over half a minute. The rest cover trees planted at scale, $20,000 handed directly to homeless people, and a Disneyland trip built for fifty Make-A-Wish children, the shortest and gentlest pick here. Durations across the group run from under a minute to over fifteen, so pace and length vary a good deal more than the theme does.

Where kindness tips into a product pitch

Giveaway is a slippery word on this channel, and it's worth being straight about why. Across everything we reviewed, 221 videos were held back specifically for being built around a product, and another 34 had product placement running right through them. Generosity and a sponsor plug can look almost identical for the first thirty seconds: someone gets something, a crowd reacts, money or goods change hands on screen. What separates the twelve on this list is that the person being helped is the actual story, not the packaging for something being sold.

Where that line gets blurrier elsewhere on the channel is covered properly in our separate look at MrBeast videos with the most commercial pressure, which is the honest companion piece to this list. Worth reading together, not instead of.

Six more videos that clear the same bar

The rail above isn't the whole list. Six more videos on our shelf hold up as genuine generosity content, just without a card each here.

  • 2,000,000 People Get Clean Water For The First Time, running over ten minutes and following the engineering through to the end.
  • I Gave $20,000 To Random Homeless People, close to eleven minutes, money handed over directly rather than through a stunt.
  • Extreme Home Makeover, under a minute long and pitched younger than most of the set, at six and seven year olds.
  • $1 = One Year of Clean Water, making essentially the same case as the longer water video in about thirty seconds.
  • I Built 100 Houses And Gave Them Away, nearly ten minutes, moving between families one at a time.
  • Planting 20,000,000 Trees, My Biggest Project Ever, the environmental end of the same format, run over seven minutes.

Who these are actually pitched at

Age bands across the twelve run from six to eleven, weighted heavily toward eight and nine year olds: nine of the twelve sit there, with the Disneyland surprise and the home makeover pitched younger and the school build in Mexico the only one aimed older, at ten and eleven. Sensory load is moderate on eleven of the twelve; only the hearing video came back low, helped by a slower pace than the rest of the group, shots holding for five and a half seconds against a shelf-wide median of 3.5. That matters more than it might sound: 376 MrBeast videos, channel-wide, running under two seconds a shot, and none of the twelve here come close to that pace.

None of these are the calmest thing MrBeast makes. Minecraft holds that title, and our wider MrBeast picks cover that ground separately. What this set shares instead is a settled emotional register: reactions given room to land rather than cut away from mid-beat.

Questions parents ask

Are MrBeast giveaway videos just adverts in disguise?

Some are. Across the channel we reviewed, 221 videos were held back specifically for being built around a product and 34 more had product placement running right through them. The twelve on this list are different: the person receiving help is the actual story, not the backdrop for a sponsor.

What age are MrBeast kindness videos aimed at?

Across the twelve, age bands run from six to eleven, but nine of them sit at eight and nine years old. The Disneyland surprise and the home makeover are pitched youngest, and the school build in Mexico is the only one aimed at ten and eleven year olds.

Are MrBeast kindness videos calm enough for a wind-down watch?

Not especially. Sensory load came back moderate on eleven of the twelve, and only the hearing video was low. If a calm watch is what's needed, our separate list of the calmest MrBeast videos, mostly Minecraft, is a better fit.

Which MrBeast giveaway video runs the longest?

I Helped 2,000 People Walk Again is the longest of the twelve at over fifteen minutes. The shortest, $1 = One Year of Clean Water, makes a similar point about clean water in about thirty seconds.
