Cosmic Kids Yoga Relaxation Vol. 1: the proper wind-down one
Twelve minutes of slow stretches and a calm voice, built for the bit of the day when everyone needs to come down a gear.

This is Cosmic Kids doing what it does best: slow, narrated yoga with barely any bounce to it. Twelve minutes of stretching, breathing and a calm voice walking your child down from wherever the day left them. Our scoring puts it at 95 out of 100 for settling a wound-up child, a score we only see from a handful of videos in the whole library. Reach for this when 'wound-up' needs to become 'calm', not more stimulation.
At a glance
Will it actually calm them down?
Scores measure how reliably this video moves a child toward a settled, regulated state. In the Piko app, kids tell us their weather and we do the matching automatically.
Which kids will love it?
Why it works
Cosmic Kids Yoga's whole format is built around a slow, narrated flow: simple poses linked into a loose story, with a calm voice doing the talking rather than fast cuts doing the work. Our analysis clocks the average shot at 12 seconds, which is glacial by kids' YouTube standards and exactly why it reads as restful rather than stimulating.
There's no plot to keep up with and no urgency built in. The poses are simple enough for a four-year-old and slow enough that an eight-year-old won't feel patronised by them either. Nothing here is trying to sell your child anything or hook them into 'one more video' (a small miracle, these days), it just quietly runs its course and stops.
That combination, suggestion rather than instruction, low sensory load, a genuine ending, makes it a strong option for autistic children and anyone who finds constant fast-paced chatter exhausting. It asks for participation. It never insists on it.
When to reach for it
- The bedtime wind-down. Slow pacing, soft voice, a genuine stopping point rather than a cliffhanger into the next video.
- After-school decompression. Low demand, nothing to keep up with, just movement and breath after a day of following other people's instructions.
- Before a wobbly transition. New activity, big change, nervy morning. Twelve minutes of steady breathing does more than it looks like it should.

Questions parents ask
What age is this Cosmic Kids yoga video best for?
Our scoring shows it lands well from about 4 to 9. The poses are simple enough for a four-year-old to copy and slow enough that older children don't find the pacing patronising, even if the presenter's energy skews younger.
Is it actually calming, or just marketed that way?
It's measurably calming. It scores 95 out of 100 for settling a wound-up child and 85 for lifting a flat, tired one, backed by an average shot length of 12 seconds, some of the slowest pacing we've measured against typical kids' content cut every one to two seconds.
Does my child need to be flexible or good at yoga?
No. The poses are simple, suggested rather than instructed with any pressure, and there's no correction or judgement built into the presentation. Autonomy-respecting is the phrase our review uses, and it shows.
Any sensory concerns?
None flagged in our review. Overall sensory intensity is low, there's no flashing imagery and no sudden loud sounds. It's one of the gentler watches in the library.
