Hide and seek played on camera, with sweets in the frame
Thirty-four seconds of looking hard, and a sponsor attached to it.

The viewer gets asked a question directly and then the answer arrives almost at once, which is slightly frustrating if your child actually likes to look. As a game it is fun, and eight and nine-year-olds enjoy trying to be quicker than the reveal. What we would flag is the commercial side: this one carries a sponsorship, sweets are part of the picture, and the pester risk sits right at the ceiling. It is bright, quick and noisy with it.
At a glance
Will it actually calm them down?
Scores measure how reliably this video moves a child toward a settled, regulated state. In the Piko app, kids tell us their weather and we do the matching automatically.
Which kids will love it?
Why it works
Hide and seek needs explaining to nobody, which is why this lands instantly. Being invited to search gives a child a job rather than a screen to stare at, and that small bit of participation counts for something. Against that, the reveal comes fast enough to undercut the searching, the sensory load is high, and a sponsored snack is riding along in the middle of all the fun.
When to reach for it
- Needs to spot it first Aimed at the child who has to see it before anybody else does.
- Pause before the answer Considerably better if you stop it early and give everyone a proper look (yourself included).
- Snack question settled Easier once the sweets negotiation has already been had for the day.

Questions parents ask
Is there time to actually find them?
Barely. The answer comes quickly, which is why pausing before the reveal makes the whole thing far more enjoyable for a child who likes to search properly.
What is being sponsored here?
Snacks, and it stops being subtle once you know. The video carries a sponsorship and sweets are part of the picture, so the pressure to buy lands in our heaviest band.
Is it a good game to copy at home?
It is, and it costs nothing. Hiding people around the house needs no equipment, no sponsorship and no prize money, which honestly makes it a better version than the one on screen.
