It will not land with a younger child. The concepts are real (quantum tunnelling gets a mention) and the video trusts the viewer to keep up, which is precisely what makes it valuable for the right kid rather than filler for every kid. For an 8 to 11 year old already hooked on gaming or space content, this is a considerably better use of 23 minutes than most of what the algorithm will offer instead.

Is this too advanced for my child?
It is built for curious older children, roughly 8 to 11, and does assume a bit of patience. Every concept, including cosmic rays and memory chips, is explained from scratch, but a younger child may find it a stretch. If your child is already hooked on Minecraft or Mario, that curiosity usually carries them through.
Does my child need to know about Mario or computers first?
